Japan Cloud Community Meets Up for Tanabata 2023! - Partner Company Employees Network, Share Success Stories and Learn Best Practices to Grow Their Business
Tomoko Hashimoto
Japan Cloud community employees met up recently to celebrate Tanabata-a centuries-old Japanese summer festival where people write wishes on strips of colorful paper and tie them to bamboo leaves-and to share their keys to business success. More than 100 employees came together to build relationships, exchange customer stories and learn best practices. The positive energy was palpable.

BlackLine and WalkMe Take the Stage
To kick off this year’s Tanabata meetup, the country managers of our partner companies BlackLine and WalkMe took part in a panel discussion moderated by Japan Cloud Consulting CEO Yasu Fukuda.

In addition to sharing anecdotes from customers, Miyazaki-san and Ono-san provided an update on the status of their business and the growth of their user groups. They also gave an overview of their companies’ founding.

The Japan Cloud Community as Collaboration Platform
Japan Cloud empowers global SaaS companies to grow in Japan by enabling their operational excellence and customer success. The Japan Cloud community currently boasts 11 partner companies with a total of 320 employees. The opportunity to collaborate within the community is a key benefit that our partners enjoy.
To this end, we invited the marketing directors of our partner companies on stage to share customer stories, new business leads and recent campaigns. Sub-communities focused on sales and customer success also highlighted best practices in breakout sessions. We intend to further build our Sales and Customer Success Communities through ongoing in-person and online events.

Encouraging inclusiveness at our partner companies through DEI and LGBTQ initiatives is also on the agenda.

Sharing Global Knowledge

From “Acquaintances” to “Friends”
Last but not least, we closed the show with a game of “self-intro bingo” in which winners were required to introduce themselves to the community. Opportunities for further networking followed, allowing acquaintances within the Japan Cloud community to become closer friends. Smiles and laughter filled the ballroom.
