The Impact of a Marketing Manager (Field Marketing) at Coupa:
We are looking for a proactive and dynamic individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and help us deliver growth in our Japan region. As the Japan Field Marketing Manager, you will be a driving force behind our regional marketing efforts. This role involves working closely with sales and alliance leaders, customers to develop targeted plans, host impactful events such as Inspire World Tour Tokyo, 1000+ reg. corporate events, and optimize lead generation.
- What You Will Bring to Coupa:
– Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Regional Marketing Manager
– Experience with organizing local and regional events in Japan
– Proficient in Salesforce and marketing automation tools (preferably Marketo)
– Fluent Japanese with strong business-level English written and verbal communication skills
– Great interpersonal and communication skills
– Confident on a tradeshow booth to assist in our Product pitch
– High degree of initiative and organization to drive projects to completion. Able to multi-task/manage multiple projects without losing sight of the highest priority items
– A well-rounded, modern marketer, who is self-motivated and unafraid to take action
– Strong communicator and creative thinker
– Critical thinker and problem-solving skills

– Good time-management skills

- What You'll Do:
- Strategy & Planning:
- Develop and execute strategic field marketing plans for the Japan region.
- Collaborate with APAC marketing managers to ensure all efforts are consistent with broader GTM (Go-to-Market) strategies and campaigns.
- Partner with the sales and alliance team to create targeted campaigns that generate new pipeline and accelerate existing pipeline.
Event Management & Lead Generation:
- Plan and host online and in-person events to create new sales opportunities, accelerate existing deals, and strengthen customer relationships.
- Organize and execute corporate event such as "Inspire World Tour Tokyo" with the goal of attracting over 1,000 registrants.
- Focus on corporate events and lead generation to build and maintain the sales pipeline.
- Engage and support the existing customer base through community-building activities to foster growth and loyalty.
- Align cross-functionally with Product, Digital & Content Marketing on the go to market strategy for your region
